MICHIGAN'S FATAL ACCIDENT COMPLAINT TEAM AND COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH CAUSATION STUDY - PART II
During the Second International Truck and Bus Safety Symposium, held in November 1999, a presentation was made regarding Michigan's Commercial Motor Vehicle Crash Causation Study, also known as FACT (Fatal Accident Complaint Team) program. In the two years that have followed a significant amount of additional data has been collected, analyzed and reported. This presentation will provide an update on the study's findings as well as a discussion on what went right and what went wrong during this five-year project. It also discusses what lies ahead.
