ROAD ACCIDENTS AND THE HEALTH OF YOUNG PEOPLE

The slides from a computer presentation are provided. Road death and injury rates, resultant emotional distress and the impact on children's activity levels caused by road accidents are considered. The decline in cycling and walking in young children in response to parental concerns about road safety is noted. Approaches to improve the situation are outlined.
