ASPECTS FOR DYNAMIC COMPACTION OF SATURATED SAND
Dynamic compaction of saturated sand by heavy damping was researched. Of interest in the research was whether stratification, especially rock in a finite depth, affects compaction depth. Another topic of interest was whether different ground vibration wave types can be distinguished from each other and analyzed analytically. As a result a modified compaction depth equation is presented. For environmental impact assessment statistical test result analysis for predicting vibrations on the ground surface in a homogeneous half space is presented.
