CLEANER EXHAUST GAS WITH DIESEL-ELECTRIC PROPULSION

A diesel-electric propulsion plant is often a competitive alternative for ships with a large and varying load profile. The article describes how air pollution is reduced as a result of optimised diesel engine loading and combustion.
