SALLY ALBATROSS, BUILT SPECIFICALLY FOR BALTIC SEA CRUISING

The previous SALLY ALBATROSS, built as a ferry was destroyed by fire in January 1990. The replacement vessel designed as a Baltic cruise ship, was handed over to her owners, Sally Line of Finland in March this year by Finnyards Ltd. The new vessel incorporates some sections and equipment from the fire-damaged ship. Principal particulars are: propulsion 4 x 12 PC 2.5 V length overall 160 m length between perpendiculars 131 m breadth 25.2 m depth 7.2 m draught 5.6 m tonnage, gross register 25 000 tonnage, net 15 000 tonnage, deadweight 1730 t speed, trial 21 knots crew 200 passengers 1400 cabins, passenger 550
