TWO-STEP EXPLICIT FINITE ELEMENT METHOD FOR THE SPILL-WAY FLOW USING MOVING BOUNDARY TECHNIQUE
This paper presents a 2-D depth averaged transient analysis for the open channel flow by the two step explicit finite element method using a moving boundary technique. As the governing equations of open channel flow, the shallow water equations are used. In this paper, the actual spill-way on the rockfill dam is computed numerically. The computed results are compared with the experimental records.
