PEDESTRIAN REGULATIONS IN THE UNITED STATES: A CRITICAL REVIEW
This article deals with rules and regulations governing the relationship between drivers and pedestrians. The rules of the road discussed are those of the Uniform Vehicle Code, which aims at promoting the best practices. The reader is referred to Traffic Laws Annotated for the historic development of the UVC rules and for any difference that existed between the provisions of the UVC and state codes up to 1978. For changes in traffic laws since that data consult the state codes.
