THE SOUTHEAST COOK TRAFFIC STUDY: A DIGEST AND RETROSPECTIVE
The details are summarized of the Southeast Cook Traffic Study, which was initiated in response to traffic problems in several communities in the area centered on the village of Lansing and on Torrence Avenue. The Chicago Area Transportation Study and Illinois Department of Transportation conducted traffic engineering studies to identify operating deficiencies in the study area and to develop solutions. The issues studied are listed, the data collection is briefly summarized, and the results are discussed.
