INFLUENCE OF WASTE WATERS ON SOIL CONSOLIDATION. PROCEEDINGS OF THE ELEVENTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SOIL MECHANICS AND FOUNDATION ENGINEERING, SAN FRANCISCO, 12-16 AUGUST 1985
The results of the investigations of the deformations of collapsable loess and clay are considered. The tests were carried out with a special oedometer, which eliminates the lateral friction. The influence of waste water from industrial enterprises on the collapse of loess and the rheological properties of clays are studied. The parameters of these soils according to the theory of the hereditary creeping are calculated. For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 287689. (Author/TRRL)
