The results of a research project on long-term options and forecasts for transport in Europe are presented in summary form. The project was to identify the major long-term prospects, problems and risks in international transport in Europe, and on this basis to identify research and development which can extend the range of options and the capabilities for using them, as well as to show how European co-operation in transport research can be improved.
