IMPACT OF TRANSPORT ON THE QUALITY OF LIFE
The concept of quality of life and its links to transportation are first discussed in general terms. A conceptual model is introduced, trying - perhaps in a new way - to demonstrate how transportation on the level of the individual is related to other conditions. This model is used as a base for a few calculations showing how transportation is related to activity programs and points of supply. In conclusion, more value-oriented and subjective matters are permitted to enter. To set up a mobility policy which takes away some capability from the mobile group and gives at least a minimum amount to the less mobile would probably increase safety and certainly increase equity.
