Biomethane in urban transport in Poland
The paper is the aftermath of International Baltic Biogas Bus Project (BBB). Motor Transport Institute in which the authors of the paper are employed or affiliated with the Institute was one of the partners in BBB Project (www.balticbiogasbus.eu) and in this paper authors will present conclusions from the Project in the field of use of biomethane in the urban bus transport in Poland. The paper presents the analysis results of biogas production potential divided on selected countries of Baltic Sea Region. The data will consider biogas possible to obtain from different sources, possibilities to biogas upgrading in different countries and also policies of biogas industries development in different Baltic Sea Region countries. In particular, there will be discussed the achievements of Polish, German and Swedish economy. The paper presents the results of exhaust emission from urban buses powered by CNG (biomethane).
