Development of Image-processing Vehicle Detector for DSSS (Driving Safety Support Systems)

DSSS preventing traffic accidents is developed now. For DSSS, the sensor measuring the vehicle movements exactly in real-time is necessary. Sumitomo Electric Group has alleviated the problems of current products and has developed and commercialized an innovative image detector that is applicable for DSSS. In this paper, the authors report the summary and evaluation results of the image-processing vehicle detector.
