Study of Self-learning System for Traffic Safety using Real Drive-recorder Video Images

A proposal of a new self-learning system for private car users to drive safer is presented in this paper. It is said that private car users have a high possibility to cause car accidents compared with business car users in Japan. There are many reasons but the authors think the less opportunity to get educational training for driving is the most suitable reason. The web questionnaire the authors had on ahead resulted that many private car users had high interest of safe driving learning tools. The authors will study a new tool, self-learning system, to provide the opportunity of educational training for safer driving. The authors will suggest using Drive-Recorder video images with inline explanation. It is based on Affordance Theory which is derived from traffic psychology. The authors will also show the effectiveness of these inline explained video images in this paper.
