Introduction of Intelligent Truck Parking – Some Aspects From a National Perspective
This presentation will outline different aspects from a national perspective on the introduction of Intelligent Truck Parking (ITP). In this case the introduction of common European intelligent transportation systems (ITS) services for truck parking. Increasing freight transport in combination with driving time regulations and a shortage of truck parking has led to a substantial traffic safety problem. ITP is expected to facilitate better use of existing capacity. What will be needed for a successful introduction?
