Assessing the resilience of transport networks to climate change: Data collection
A previous report documented the selection of a transportation corridor from London to Glasgow to study the impacts of climate change on transportation networks. This report describes the collection of data along that transportation corridor. Two types of data were collected (1) use of the network and (2) asset condition and maintenance information. The report details the information required at a corridor level and required based on the climate change impact being studied, such as, floods, landslides, heat, and scour. The acquisition and source of the data is provided, as well as, a discussion of the reliability and accuracy of the data. The report concludes with a section on incident management for road, rail, and air.
