Modern Approach to Problem of Optimal Routes Planning
Suvremeni pristup problemu planiranja optimalnih ruta
This paper focuses on solving the problems of the organization of transport at the operational level where the selection of vehicle route is viewed as combinatorial optimization problem. Applied research methodology is based on the use of Visual Basic as a development tool in the visual design detailed search algorithm in the Excel spreadsheet interface. This is a modern approach to solving the problem of optimal routes planning. The obtained results confirm the hypothesis that the use of relevant information technology and computer applications is the fundamental factor in planning optimal routes. Such approach allows calculation and displays of multiple optimal solutions, which gives managers a wider manoeuvring space in decision-making.
