AIDER: the approach towards a pan-European accident management system
Considering transport environment and the continuously increasing number of vehicles on the road, safety item topicality is becoming always more impressive. Within road safety improvement many initiatives are running in Europe. Of highest priority is the effort to make all the initiatives converging to a common solution in order to lead all the effort not to become a paper on the shelf but to approach the market and provide real support to involved operators and citizens. Related to this purpose the AIDER project developed a complete architecture dedicated to improve the management of emergency events originated from the vehicle on the road. This paper reports the main achieved AIDER results and the approach adopted to adopt the pan-European scenario.
