HACIA UNA ARQUITECTURA NACIONAL PARA LOS SISTEMAS INTELIGENTES DE TRANSPORTE

Partiendo de la definicion de los servicios al usuario, este trabajo senala los elementos necesarios para lograr el desarrollo de una arquitectura de los sistemas inteligentes de Transporte (ITS) en Mexico. Esta arquitectura dara un marco comun a la aplicacion de los ITS en este pais. Los servicios y tecnologias de los ITS comunmente se aceptan como una herramienta util para mejorar la operacion de un sistema de transporte. Las ventajas que ofrecen los hacen muy atractivos para los responsables de su operacion. Sin embargo, las pocas aplicaciones que se han desarrollado en Mexico, carecen de un marco comun. Esta carencia provoca que el equipo resulte obsoleto en poco tiempo y que presente problemas de compatibilidad. Partiendo de una revision de algunas de las Arquitecturas ITS existentes en el mundo, se presentan los elementos que una arquitectura ITS para Mexico deberia incorporar, a fin de tener un desarrollo ordenado de los servicios ITS. El trabajo incluye una diversidad de tablas en donde se senalan los servicios propuestos, estableciendose un orden de prioridad para su implantacion. Posibles trabajos futuros abren la posibilidad de identificar servicios especificos para vehiculos comerciales, seguridad en vialidades y operacion de carreteras. Se incluyen figuras, conclusiones y recomendaciones. Abstract: Starting from the definition of user services, this paper outlines the elements necessary for developing the architecture for the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) in Mexico. This architecture would provide a common framework for the implementation of ITS in this country. ITS Services and technologies are commonly accepted as a useful tool to improve the operation of a transportation system. Their advantages make them very attractive to those responsible for its operation. However, the few applications that have been developed in Mexico, lack of a common framework. This deficiency causes the equipment to be obsolete in a short time and to present problems of compatibility. Based on a review of some of the existing ITS architectures in the world, the elements that a Mexico ITS architecture should incorporate in order to have an orderly development of ITS services are presented. The work includes a number of tables which identifies the proposed services, establishing a priority order for their implementation. Possible future work opens the possibility of identifying specific services for commercial vehicles, roads and safe operation of highways. Included figures, conclusions and recommendations.
